Galion to presell tickets for Sectional tournament game
The Galion High School will offer pre-sale tickets to the boys basketball sectional tournament game against Port Clinton. The game starts at 6:15 p.m. March 3 at Willard High School. 
Galion City School District hosting College Credit Plus informational meeting
The Galion City School District will be hosting a College Credit Plus informational meeting on Wednesday, February 25. The meeting will be held in the Galion High School cafetorium and will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to any Galion City School District student currently enrolled in grades 6-11. 
Zeisler recognized as National Merit Commended Student
Galion High School senior Addison Zeisler has been named a Commended Student in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the High School and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, has been presented by High School Principal Ron Williams to this scholastically talented senior. 
Galion Middle School selected as semi-finalist for $10,000 grant
The Galion Middle School has been selected as a semi-finalist in the NBC4 Make a Difference School Grant program. Starting Feb. 24, the Galion community will have the chance to make a positive change in the Galion Middle School through engagement in online social voting via Facebook and at www.NBC4MakeADifference.com. 
Carson brings a wealth of experience to Galion Board of Education
Public service is a familiar role for Brian Carson, the newest member of the Galion City School District Board of Education. Appointed to fill a vacant seat on the board in January, Carson brings 25 years of private and public service to the district.
