Galion's Preschool Rated 5-Star
Galion’s preschool recently received a highly esteemed, five-star rating from the Ohio Department of Education.
The Ohio Department of Education’s SUTQ (Step Up to Quality) recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed licensing health and safety regulations. The program standards are based on national research identifying standards which lead to improved outcomes for children.
“I am very proud of our program and the dedication of our teachers and aides that serve our preschool students! Our students are achieving great things both academically and socially,” primary principal, Katy Erlsten said.
Galion’s preschool program is led by teachers Lindy Edgell, Lindsey Gribble, and Suzanne Woodmansee.
“It's an honor to work with such a hard-working and caring group of people. Our preschool program has a "family" of educators that work very hard to help meet the needs of each of our individual students. However, in the end our five-star rating shows us just how important our work is and reassures us that what we are doing is making a difference in our students lives,” Suzanne Woodmansee said.
“I am so proud to work with such amazing and hard-working staff. We are always striving to do what is best for our students and preparing them for kindergarten,” Lindy Edgell said.
