Six Galion High School students spent time giving back to the community by assisting with the annual Thanksgiving meal at the Galion Golden Age Center Nov. 15. Aaron Barnhart, Brady Bonham, Clay Karnes, Colten Skaggs, Ashley Sallee and Teresa House doned aprons, hair nets and plastic gloves to provide extra assistance in the Center’s kitchen and the dining area.

The Book Fair will take place in the Galion Intermediate School Room 510, and will be open to students from 9:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. during the school day. The Book Fair will also be open 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 and 12:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 during parent-teacher conferences.
The Galion City Schools will hold fall parent-teacher conferences Nov. 7 and Nov. 9. As a result, students in grades preschool through 12 will be released from classes early Nov. 9. Middle and High School students will be released at 11:00 a.m., while Primary and Intermediate School students will be released at 12:00 noon. Lunches will not be served to students on Nov. 9, and there is no school for students Nov. 10.
Galion Building and Loan Bank continued its support of education in the Galion community with its donation of calculators to the Galion Middle School Tuesday, Oct. 24. This is the twenty-sixth year the bank has made the donation to sixth grade students.
