Hello 6th Grade Parents, this is a friendly reminder that the FULL camp payment and Medical Forms are due by next Friday, September 30th. The Galion Middle School Food Service Department will be giving away free samples of new items during Open House, Aug. 16th from 5-7pm. They will also be available to load money onto your student's lunch account. Don't forget to stop by the cafeteria to pick up your sample!


Galion Middle School is excited to welcome families on August 16th for Open House. Each student in attendance will be able to enter to win one of these great prizes that will be awarded at our first spirit assembly.

Mark your calendars! The first day of school is August 17th and all buildings will start with a 2-hr delay. Please note that breakfast will not be served on 2-hr delays at the Primary, Intermediate, and Middle School.

It's that time of year again! Time to get all back to school forms updated and signed. Fall Athletes must have all forms completed and physicals turned in prior to 1st day of official practice. All students in grades 6-12 must have Final Forms signed in order to receive their schedules and iPads. 7th graders: practice begins on August 1-5 from 10am-12pm
8th graders: practice begins August 3-5 from 6-8pm
9-12th graders: tryouts August 1-3 from 9-11am and 12-2pm
*Physicals need to be done and up to date for you to practice.

Is your student not involved in a school activity or fall sport yet but ready to try something new? The cross country team has just started summer conditioning and is looking for people in 7th/8th grade to join the team. Cross country is for all ability levels and athletes can join with NO experience and still find success. We have summer conditioning the month of July each week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am-9am at the stadium in Heise Park.

Incoming 6th grade parents and students, we know camp is still almost 4 months away but it’s not too early to begin planning for it! You can begin making payments for camp August 1st. We hope that all entering 6th graders will take advantage of this fun and educational opportunity!


Applications to apply for the Crawford County Job & Family Services Back to School Wear Program are due July 1, 2022.
Applications can be picked up at the Job & Family Services office, located at 225 E. Mary St in Bucyrus, or printed off their website at : https://crawfordcountyjfs.org/prc-net-transportation/. Applications are also available at the Galion and Crestline libraries.
Additionally, Job & Family Services staff will be ON SITE at the Galion, Crestline, and New Washington libraries the week of June 27-July 1 to take applications and answer questions. Dates, times and locations are listed below:
