Mrs. Garver's class presented to an audience of district administrators today. They studied countries from around the world and created posters to use in their presentations. They celebrated their accomplishments by tasting a variety of foods from each of the countries they learned about. They did a great job and some even shared their favorite dance moves to complete their presentation. Great job everyone!

Galion Primary School students recently became pizza chefs! By cutting toppings in their proper shape, students created their own pizzas, utilizing and growing their creative skills! Special thanks to Domino's for providing the pizza boxes.

The district is working to create a Civil Air Patrol Cadet program for students in grades 6 through 12! CAP is a civil service organization committed to the vigilant service of America in times of disaster. Its more than 64,000 members selflessly devote their time, energy, and expertise toward the well-being of their communities while also promoting aviation and related fields through aerospace/STEM education and helping shape future leaders through CAP’s cadet program.

At this month’s Board of Education meeting, the Board recognized students who exemplified the "Portrait of a Tiger" trait, "Person of Integrity." Galion City Schools is dedicated to financial transparency and educating our community on school finance. We are excited to announce "The Galion Fiscal Focus," where we will share monthly financial pieces and updates. This month, we will start with the Galion City School District's Five-Year Forecast.
The district is required to submit a Five-Year Forecast twice a year, once in May and again in November. It's a mandatory document covering three years of actual data and projecting five years ahead, detailing anticipated revenues and expenditures. This forecast considers various factors that can impact the school system's financial health, including but not limited to enrollment trends, state and federal funding changes, revenue projections and capital investments.
