Spring break is here! There will be no school from Monday, March 25, through Monday, April 1. Enjoy your well-deserved break, and stay safe! We look forward to seeing you back on Tuesday, April 2.

As a district, we continue to make progress in providing comprehensive mental health supports to our students and their families. Recently, we hired two behavior aides for both Galion Primary and Galion Intermediate Schools to complete the Registered Behavior Technician certification. This certification enables them to deliver support and assistance to address student behavior-related issues under close supervision from a designated RBT supervisor.
By addressing potentially problematic behaviors sooner, we aim to ensure students receive essential support to overcome challenges and flourish academically while reducing the frequency of suspensions and other disciplinary actions.

March is National Music in Our Schools Month! Join us in celebrating the importance of music education with the Galion High School Spring Musical! Our talented students will present Beauty and the Beast on March 22 and 23 at 7:00 p.m. and March 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Galion Community Theatre. Tickets can be bought at the door, priced at $10 for parents and $5 for students.

Shape lives and inspire futures! Galion City Schools is actively seeking dedicated individuals to fill multiple classified and substitute positions. Find out more and apply today at https://brnw.ch/21wHZl4.

There will be no school on March 21 and 22 while our staff participates in restorative practice training. Restorative practices are strategies and skills that help build positive relationships, resolve conflicts and create a respectful and accountable culture in our schools.
We’ll see you back after spring break on Tuesday, April 2!

Reminder to all that the Galion City Schools extended Spring Break begins on Thursday, March 21st. Students who attend Pioneer will need to find transportation to the High School and can take the shuttle to Pioneer on Thursday and Friday this week and again on April 1st. School for all students will resume on April 2 with normal transportation to Pioneer. We hope that all our students and families take time to enjoy this break and return to school refreshed and ready to end the year strong!

Shout out to our fantastic spring athletes who have been hard at work gearing up for their seasons. Remember to show your support for our Tigers! For schedules, visit https://www.arbiterlive.com/Teams?entityId=8203.

Mrs. Garver's class presented to an audience of district administrators today. They studied countries from around the world and created posters to use in their presentations. They celebrated their accomplishments by tasting a variety of foods from each of the countries they learned about. They did a great job and some even shared their favorite dance moves to complete their presentation. Great job everyone!

This week, we honor our school social workers! From helping our students navigate social-emotional issues to leading families to find and receive helpful resources, we appreciate all our school social workers do. Thank you for empowering our district to believe, achieve and succeed!

Well Hello March! Let's hope Spring is coming...
